Let's go to Taos!

Enchanted Story Journal
Taos, NM
Mabel Dodge Luhan House
Historic Inn and conference center

Imagine waking up nestled in a space where writers and artists slept... like Ansel Adams,
Georgia O'keefe, Dennis Hopper, and Willa Cather. Mabel Dodge Luhan House is a place where these creatives retreated to spend time focusing on their craft. Carl Jung even stayed here.
Mabel provided a place to nurture their creativity. It was a time for reflection. Focus. And
free from distractions. Mabel's is such a special place wrapping you in culture and magic and
I am honored to be teaching here.

Join me in the historic Mabel Dodge Luhan House March 10-14th, 2020 for 4 nights and
3 full days of creative time.  I’ll be leading you through painting exercises and break out
demo’s each day.
We will explore animals that speak to us as well as those we might encounter in
magical Taos, NM. One night, with windows open, I heard the coyotes call. Chilling yet beautiful.
Vulnerable yet empowering. Just as our art. A freedom in the call. In art.

Diving into what it means to foster happy accidents by working quickly and channeling
our inner child, we will scribble and enjoy the process, not worrying about the outcome.
Creating is a part of the journey and every mark and “mistake” should be celebrated.
Therein, lies the magic of the creative process. We will create with the mindset of what
it means to be free to be YOU.

I have stayed at Mabel’s twice in the last several years and have dreamed of
teaching there one day. Mabel’s is a place that holds a rich history of hosting artists
and writers such as Willa Cather, Georgia O’Keefe, and Dennis Hopper.
The food is incredible. The indescribable rich nostalgia grips at you.
That is really the only way that I know how to describe this place.

I expect, as all the workshops at Mabels do, to fill quickly. Space is limited to a rather
small group to really connect and fellowship. We will journal our stories. Paint with curiosity. And embrace the you-ness of you. Where does your story take you?

Breakfasts and Lunches are included as well as one dinner on our last night.
You will be on your own for dinner the other 3 nights. There are lots of great
restaurants close to Mabel’s.

Supplies: The supply list will be emailed to you about a month or two before the workshop begins.
