Campfire and Wonder Wander Journaling

I remember camping a lot as a kid. Like every weekend when I went home with my Dad. I loved the camping part but I will say lots and lots of work. My favorite times, were when me and my Dad would get up early before everyone else and go fishing. Just him and me and the early morning breeze off the lake. Such good times.

I created this darling Campfire girl piece for a new class by Trista Hertz and her Wonder Wander journaling online class. I am one of her guest artists for her Fall series of lessons! I used the Jane Davenport watercolor set as well as some Watercolor pencils. I would love if you joined us over at Trista's class that begins soon. Let's celebrate my favorite time of year! Time for sweaters, pumpkin spice latte, and the sound of the crickets chirping under the stars.

Into the Shadows!! New Halloween class!

It's beginning to look a lot like Halloween!!!
Join me as we create in our journals all things creepy and cute. We will be using lots of layers of acrylic paint and scraping back into the background. My intention for this class is for everything to look distressed and "undone". Using the wedge and key card, we'll create happy accidents and stay away from being tidy. We will sketch and do backgrounds and lift paint. Are you ready to journal, creepy cute style?!?

Gouache journaling process video

I have been having a blast painting with gouache lately! If you've been following me for a while, then you probably know that I LOVE and admire Mary Blair's artwork. Her main medium was gouache (or as its often known as "opaque watercolor"). So when I paint with gouache, I love painting inspired from her little creations. I love her book illustrations the most. UP and Down book is my absolute favorite. The illustrations are so simple and perfect.

I have a sweet process video for you below:

More classes being retired....!!

I am retiring more classes!! I just feel like making room for new is in the air. I love new beginnings...new inspiration.
Here are some FAQs about retiring classes:

You are retiring these classes, does that mean I won't have access to these once retired? Absolutely NOT. Once you sign up, these classes are yours and you won't lose access.

How long will these classes be offered at the Retirement sale price? I plan on offering these retirement prices through the end of 2019. I may extend that through 2020 if I see some interest continue.

How long will I have access to the classes once I sign up? You get lifetime access to the course content. You are also welcome to download any content. (you would even get access if I decide to move platforms. which is a possibility.) They will remain in your library when you sign into your Ruzuku account.

Do you offer support, critiques, etc on these retired classes? I'm so sorry, but no I won't be able to offer support on these classes. These are considered self work and are no longer monitored.
