Want to play Raggedy Ann?
This painting surprised me. I began by putting down lots of gesso and then more gesso with a mini catalyst blade
. I think building up raw textures and imperfections adds to the child like innocence. Lots of scribbles and drawing with your non-dominant hand is also encouraged to help you loosen up.
This painting surprised me because it started out with a huge struggle of "what it was going to be". I kept moving and kept going and it evolved into this sweet girl.
The original sold instantly, but you can get prints here
in my shop.
And if you haven't signed up for my year long class, Inner Child I do have a 4 month payment plan
for those interested.
Happy New Year!!

Move is my word of the year. Move to Florida. Move in my body (running). Move in the painting process (keep moving and pushing through)
