Soul Bird class and giveaway

This class is all about working intuitively. Travel with me on the wings of your own Soul Bird into what fuels your creative spirit. We will be doing lots of mark making....with colored pencils and black pencils. We will follow the winds as they guide us. We will create from the soul.
There are 5 lessons plus a bonus guest artist lesson.
  • a painted papers lesson with lots of mark making
  • a bookboard journal painting lesson
  • a painting on cardboard with lots of mark making and paint
  • 2 big (16"x16") intuitive paintings on wood. Very rich and deep in the process of how I work intuitively

I truly believe that your soul bird is your creative spirit. And in that spirit, fear has no place. It's impossible in that space. We will create from this source. We will evolve, grow, and accept our "mistakes" as stunning insights into our power consciousness.

My journey as an artist began early in life, with ballet shoes, a lot of sweat and a drawing, here and there.
After a lot of years passed, many of those dedicated to movement, I realised that I had to find another creative path, one that I could carry with me, as I grew older. 
That was when I found Art-journaling, which opened up a whole new world, with endless possibilities. From then on, I’ve never stopped, jumping from the page to the canvas, taking on-line courses, joining the village at art-retreats, and having the privilege to be among and meet beautiful and very talented people.
As I continue my journey on this creative path, I uncover each day, a passion, a drive and a wish that my art, no matter what form it takes, will touch people’s lives in someway.  And my cup overflows everyday.

I am now

I am now

I am now.
my spirit reaches for my truer self

I am not in control
My God goes before me and plans my day
I surrender it all to Him.

All I can do is point to His Glory
All things I do is through Him.

Why would I want to control? Why limit the greatness He has in store with human thought?
Anything I have ever prayed for….asked for….. has either been blown away in comparison to my wishes or opened a new door by closing one. He doesn't use my plans. He has bigger ones.

Latest work

I have been painting every day lately. Getting in the studio is sometimes tough. Maybe the desire wanes. Maybe I'm a bit lazy. But once I fill my water cup and sit down at my painting table, it starts. Not always does it come easy. In which case I make lots of silly scribbles with lots and lots of colored pencils. I really love the faber castell brand. They are a bit more sturdy. The lead is harder. thank you scribbles for allowing me to feel like a kid again and for giving me an outlet for not knowing what the heck to do. It is a start!

I met You

I met you in the silent dusk
your voice only the crickets
your garments on the horizon
beginning in blue, then to lavender,
and then easing so carefully to pink.

I saw you again for the first time.
You reveal yourself in subtlety.
The moon glorifies you....
waking again
praising you in light

You are the birds' song
singing just for me.
You are the tenderness of a deer...
gazing with wonder straight to my soul.

Bella Grace Blog hop

I'm so thrilled to be a part of the Bella Grace blog hop….

Bella Grace is a new publication from Stampington. This image-rich book is a peek into the lives of artists. It goes beyond the behind-the-scenes. To me, it's more about the spirit of creating. What drives us to create. The why's. Then takes you there….nestled into a backpack for a view upon a mountaintop. It makes you want to travel to these places. To spend time with the artist over coffee. And I think that's just what you'll do with Bella Grace. She certainly lives up to her name.

I am Rooted in His love.
my story holds everything
through spirit I embrace Grace.

I am a light.
A shared light with the one that came before me
I am here to point to His Glory
To cherish what is so freely given.

To be still
to lay with the stars as one
to hold and acknowledge
that I am all God says I am.

I am one with the trees
the birds
the deer
I am one with the Maker of all these things.
