Neat Stuff sticker club turns 1!

 

Today marks the very first birthday of the Neat Stuff sticker club! I can't believe it's already been a year we began this sticker journey! Tim is the sticker making expert and we've been making stickers since around late 2017. He left his lucrative (but also highly stressful) job in March of 2018 to be partners in my art business and we had no idea at the time that stickers would play a huge role in the fun we'd have on this journey together. 

In September of last year, I decided that each month, I'd do a themed logo sticker. It's really fun to see them all together and wow what a fun year. It would be hard to pick a favorite but Alice has my heart. And of course I love the cute witch!

The sticker club also consists of monthly videos where I teach you how to draw and paint some of the cuties inspired by the stickers you were sent.

Let's play in Paint! I'll show you how I create depth and dimension with acrylic paint using my fingers and some brushwork to create rich, expression faces!

Is this class for beginners? If you are familiar painting faces, then this will be perfect. I would suggest my Acrylic Girl for beginners course to complete first if you are an absolute first time in painting faces.

Can I substitute supplies for things I already have? yes indeed! Use similar colors to achieve this cute girl. The most important color will be the quinacridone nickel azo gold from golden.

Alice in Wonderland Sticker club set!

 

Next month's theme for the Sticker Club is Alice in Wonderland. This month, I'll be featuring two different flavors of scratch and sniff: Cheshire Cat grape and Alice Coffee cake. You'll get one sheet of each. This is the most EPIC and biggest set to date! come join all the fun!

Also, for the club I'll have a video of me painting Tweedle Dee in watercolor around mid-month.

I made a new journal!

 Hey friends! Happy Monday! I have been so inspired by Jennie Mae June lately and wanted to create a new journal inspired by her laminated cover journal.

I took a 9x12 laminating pouch and filled it up with glitter, stickers and washi tape and laminated it.

I used binding thread to stitch my papers together. I filled it with watercolor and sketchbook paper along with some deli paper to make it interesting. And then I tied some confetti tulle around to help keep it closed.

My favorite thing to add to journals is dangles and clips. It just makes me so happy.
