This painting surprised me. I began by putting down lots of gesso and then more gesso with a mini catalyst blade. I think building up raw textures and imperfections adds to the child like innocence. Lots of scribbles and drawing with your non-dominant hand is also encouraged to help you loosen up.
This painting surprised me because it started out with a huge struggle of "what it was going to be". I kept moving and kept going and it evolved into this sweet girl.
The original sold instantly, but you can get prints here in my shop.
And if you haven't signed up for my year long class, Inner Child I do have a 4 month payment plan for those interested.
Happy New Year!!
I am so so grateful to each and every one of you for your support. Supporting my family solely through the art journey as been a huge dream for me and thanks to folks like you, I can continue that dream.
MOVE!
Move is my word of the year. Move to Florida. Move in my body (running). Move in the painting process (keep moving and pushing through)
Thank you!
I have a sale to say thank you going on in the shop through today. 20% off self work classes, prints, and other items. And then 40% off wallets, pins, and more. (sale is already activated in the shop. no code needed)
