The Frida Notes

I am my own muse. I am the subject I know best.
The subject I want to better.”
― Frida Kahlo

Are you ready to journal Frida style?!? I have created this class based on the art and inspiration of the incredible Frida Kahlo.  I  love how she painted self portraits based on her emotions and physical state. Despite having been involved a horrendous accident that left her in bed for weeks if not months, she began painting. (almost a blessing and beautiful gift brought out of the ashes!) She inspires me to paint from within. She inspires me to paint even through pain (whether we are going through physical or mental paint) and in doing so we give birth to beauty from darkness. We harness the power within and create beauty in the face of our challenges. We paint because it gives us the peace .....and the power!.... we rise. Let's channel our inner Frida and journal about what defines us...our struggles...and the joy we find through art.
